What to do in Peñíscola

Peñíscola, located in the north of the Valencian Community, is a privileged place in the Spanish Mediterranean. The old town, with a 14th century castle-fortress which was the residence of Pope Benedict XIII, is situated on a 64 m high rock. In contrast, the modern tourist area offers fine sandy beaches to the north and coves with cliffs to the south.
